Paisley K. Piasecki
Paisley K. Piasecki is an associate in the firm. Her practice focuses in the areas of commercial real estate and intellectual property, and includes handling various contractual matters for artists, creatives, and emerging businesses.
Ms. Piasecki’s real estate practice focuses in commercial leasing and development. Beyond real estate, her practice includes counseling clients on intellectual property matters involving brand strategy, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright, and drafting and negotiating agreements relating to intellectual property development and ownership, licensing, employee and consultant matters, provision of services and vendor engagements, media relationships, production releases, art exhibitions, and other matters impacting artists and businesses.
Ms. Piasecki began her legal career in New York while working in the Intellectual Property & Technology Transactions Group at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where she provided intellectual property and data privacy counseling to clients involved in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. She also counseled non-profits, creatives, and small businesses on areas such as board governance, fair use and content licensing, art installations, and intellectual property protection.
Ms. Piasecki is a summa cum laude graduate of New York Law School, where she served as the Co-President of the Media, Entertainment & Fashion Law Association as well as a legal writing teacher within the New York Law School Law Review as the Legal Scholarship Editor. She is the author of a published case comment on the legal status of hot air balloons in California (Paisley Piasecki, Grotheer v. Escape Adventures, Inc., 64 N.Y.L. Sch. L. Rev. 223 (2019-2020)).
Ms. Piasecki graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication in 2017. During her time in college and law school, she interned at prominent media, entertainment, and fashion companies in Boston and New York.
Ms. Piasecki is admitted to practice law in Georgia and New York.
